I’m a speculative fiction editor specializing in science fiction, fantasy, and paranormal romance. My editorial journey began in the late 1980s as a news writer/editor for Byerly Publications, Inc., where I developed a sharp eye for clarity, structure, and voice. After two years, I transitioned to help my husband launch his law firm, where I spent the next 35 years proofreading and editing legal documents—refining my precision, consistency, and attention to tone.

Now retired from the legal world, I’ve returned to what brings me joy: working with imaginative fiction and helping authors polish their stories. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing (1986), which informs my strategic approach to audience engagement and narrative flow.

I’ve been an avid reader all my life, but it wasn’t until I purchased my first Kindle that I discovered the vibrant world of independent fiction. During the early months of the COVID pandemic, I began pivoting toward editing speculative fiction—drawn in by compelling stories that deserved better polish.
